"Victory
Lodge" Local 1725
is one of 1,172 IAM Local Lodges affiliated with the over 700,000 member International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers. The IAM; the Machinists Union and the IAMAW are accepted, proper names for the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, AFL-CIO/CLC.

Local Lodge 1725 has been part of the Charlotte Community since it was chartered, June 3, 1943, after workers at Brown Equipment and Manufacturing voted to be represented by the Union. Representation in the Airline Industry began with Eastern Airlines the early 1950s.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace workers represent nearly 450,000 people in North America. The Organizations Leadership is distributed through District Lodges in which the majority of these District Lodges are responsible for direct collective bargaining for the Local Lodges that they represent.

This Lodge represents Members at United, PSA and US Airways. At US Airways we have approximately 1,045 members in the fleet service group and around 935 in the mechanic and related group.  The mechanic and related group consists of mechanics, inspectors, stock clerks and utility workers.

The majority of the people work at Charlotte Douglas International Airport in several locations. Off site, we have Members working in a facility located on Wilkinson Blvd. and Harlee Ave.
